This version of Helvetica Neue was created using sidewalk chalk on concrete. 

First, I created stencils for each letter and filled each one in with chalk. The texture created by these two materials is interesting because the shape is neither completely solid, nor geometric. This is a very organic take on the typeface. The orientation of these letters on the poster also mimics the way in which I set up the lettering on the sidewalk, giving it a more playful feel.
