HELLO

I’m Ashton McGuffie, a graphic designer from Dallas, Texas.

My first memory of truly appreciating graphic design was when I first saw Hitchcock’s “Vertigo” when I was 12 years old. The title sequence was always the best to me because it was unsettling—the type was just so different from anything I’d seen before, and paired so well with the graphics and imagery. It set the tone for the film.

As a graphic designer, I am especially inclined toward type and the setting of type. I also enjoy creating an identity system and giving a brand a specific feeling. My goal as a designer is to create work that evokes feelings while also conveying an idea. My design style is retro meets modern. I try to make everything feel new and fresh, but my work also features elements from the past.
